Blackie and Son published educational and juvenile books including several series: Blackie’s Library of Famous Books (1890s), Blackie’s Famous Books, (1910-1965) and the Kennett Library (late 1950s onward). They also published a scholarly series called the Casket Library which reprinted titles from an earlier series, the Red Letter Library.
The Wallet Library was a very small-sized (32mo) series of books. Some versions seem to be bound in a limp material, others, like the one below, are cloth bound.
Poems by Coleridge is undated but probably 1920s. The jackets are specific to titles, in this case including an illustration of the author (Coleridge). Other authors, all classics, are included in the list of series titles on the front flap. The price is 1/6.
The series name and logo is on the back of the jacket. An advertisement for dictionaries is on the rear flap.
Sturdy dark blue cloth bindings with gold stamping. The series name is not included on or in the book.
